HELPFUL HIGHLIGHT

Each newsletter I will be sharing tips, campus resources, and skills that can help you personally, academically, and professionally. This newsletter’s highlight is creating a study schedule!

If time management tends to be a challenge for you (or even if it isn’t), it can be really helpful to start of the semester with a schedule to keep you on track. Try using this template from CAST (https://success.unl.edu/Weekly%20Study%20Schedule.pdf) to start mapping out how you plan to spend your time. You should be blocking off about 2-3 hours of study time for every credit hour you’re registered for. Don’t forget to build in time for sleep, self-care, and fun! Having balance in our lives to take care of our well-being helps us to stay well and avoid burnout.

ADVISING UPDATE

Welcome back!

My Zoom drop-in hours have changed for this semester. They are now Mondays from 10:00am-noon and Wednesdays from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

I’ll be working remotely on Mondays this semester. You’ll notice in MyPLAN that I still have appointments available on Mondays, but they are only via Zoom. Every other weekday, you’ll have the choice for us to meet in person or via Zoom.

As a reminder, for in person meetings in my office, I follow the guidance from Lancaster County (https://app.lincoln.ne.gov/city/covid19/) and University policy. We are currently required to wear face coverings until further notice.
