Hot Springs National Park - Archeology Tech Internship

Hot Springs National Park is recruiting an Archeological Technician Intern to assist park archaeology staff with archaeological field work and data processing. The Archaeological Technician Intern will assist with supporting archaeological field surveys, site recording, mapping, excavations, site condition assessments, monitoring, writing sections of draft reports, database entry, file management, preparation of National Register Nominations and Determinations of Eligibility, and other routine tasks under the supervision of the park archeologist. The Intern will also assist the park archaeologist with compliance reviews and documentation as part of the analysis required by the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and by the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) for potential ground disturbing projects. This is an excellent position for students and recent graduates with relevant coursework to gain knowledge of a wide range of archeological duties.
