In addition, it is an opportunity for students to look back and reflect on their anthropological education, evaluating its impact on their views and speculating on its role in their life after university. The course allows students to take the knowledge, background, and insight they’ve gained and reintegrate these back into a more sophisticated whole. While the class will consider the nature of anthropology and anthropology’s role in the world, it will also focus on careers in anthropology (or careers that use anthropological education), ethics, and the major issues in the discipline today.
