Yevheniia Eckel
Yevheniia Eckel

Join us in GLST/HRHA 350 on December 4 for a student-led Q&A interview with Yevheniia Eckel, a Ukrainian immigrant and former supervisor of the Refugee Resettlement Program at Lutheran Family Services (LFS). She has helped resettle more than six hundred refugees in Lincoln. She has dedicated her life to helping newcomers feel safe and supported. With questions of (im)migration and refugees making national headlines, our Q&A session is an opportunity to learn more about (im)migration, identity and culture, and the power of a supportive community.

We look forward to seeing you on December 4, 2025 from 2–3 PM in Oldfather Hall 827. Light refreshments provided.

With best wishes,

Gigi Salerno (HRHA Student) and Dr. Timothy Turnquist (SGIS/HRHA Faculty)
