Overview
International internships allow students to gain professional experience, while developing valuable cross-cultural communication skills. The Global Internship Award aims to offset the expenses associated with pursing an unpaid (or low-paid) internship abroad in students’ career field of interest.

Qualifications
Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking undergraduate student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
Preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need.
Preference will be given to students with relevant foreign language proficiency, if interning in a country that is not predominantly English-speaking.
Recipient Requirements
Accept an unpaid (or low-paid) intern position abroad. Applicants will be asked to detail their expenses, as well as any salary/stipend/assistance they will receive, to determine adequate need.
Intern abroad for at least four weeks. Preference will be given to students pursuing longer internships.
Receive academic credit for the experience.
