Students will participate in intensive Russian language classes for 20 hours per week for a total of 80 hours during their stay. Through participation on the program, students will earn 3 transfer credits for Russian language for either Russian 203 (advanced beginner) or Russian 398 (intermediate) learners. Beginning learners of Russian will earn 3 transfer credit hours for Modern Language credits (MODL198). Upon successful completion of the study abroad program, PNRPU will issue a transcript with a grade and a certificate of completion, which will be help transfer the coursework back to UNL.
Eligibility
This program is designed to allow UNL students, both students of Russian language and students from other majors/minors, to immerse themselves in beginning or intermediate Russian language courses. This study abroad program is open to students who have no previous experience with the language. Please note that the minimum enrollment for this program is five students.
While applications from non-UNL students may be considered, preference will be given to UNL students. Non-UNL participants must first be admitted to UNL as a visiting student.
