
The US-UK Fulbright Commission 2016 UK Summer Instituteapplication period is open! These summer programmes provide the opportunity for US undergraduates (aged over 18), with at least two years of undergraduate study left to complete, to come to the UK on a three,four, five or six week academic and cultural summer programme. Participants in these programmes will get theopportunity to experience an exciting academic programme at a highly regardedUK University, explore the culture, heritage and history of the UK and developtheir academic ability by improving presentation, research and communication skills.

The 2016 application form is online. Alink can be found on the ‘Applying’ tab of each Institute’s website. We highly recommend students prepare a draft application with the form providedon the website. Application instructionsand FAQs are available for reference.
·Previous travel outside the US:
We state on our website that preference will be given to those who do not have extensive, recent experience in the UK. While your experience in the UK won’t preclude you from applying, you would be at a disadvantage. However, a strong application wouldn’t prevent you from being selected. We encourage anyone eligible and interested to apply for our awards.
Recommendations: Students should direct their references to the link on the program webpage for an online reference form. All references should be completed using this form.
