Favorite Book: “The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness and Murder” by Charles Greaber is my favorite book because I enjoy non-fiction crime books. This book is especially entertaining because it discusses the science of medicine and is a real page turner.

Why Global Studies?
I chose global studies because it combines my love for food and food science and the humanities beautifully. Global Studies gives me the flexibility to learn and explore the sciences while also enabling me to focus more on the humanities, which I also love.

Favorite Class at UNL:
My favorite class that I have taken here at UNL is HIST 339 History of the Holocaust and POLS 470 International human rights.

Study Abroad Experience:
For my study abroad experience, I went to India for three weeks to learn about international development and community engagement. We went to various cities in India including: Delhi, Agra, Chennai, Coimbatore and Fort Cochin. We spent most of the trip meeting and learning about NGO’s that are doing some amazing things in India like providing women with the skills to be able to make and sell their own handmade goods so that they can earn a living for themselves.

Post-Graduation Plans:
For post Graduation I plan to do a research job here at UNL or internship during the spring and summer semesters and then continue on to grad school in Fall 2017.
