The Center for Civic Engagement would like to cordially invite you to their largest national service program this season. This Winter Break, they will be traveling to the Deep South on their Winter Service-Study ASB: Civil Rights Past, Present, and Future. Participants will be exposed to historic communities including Vicksburg, MS., Selma and Birmingham, AL, and Memphis, TN while discussing the impacts of the Civil Rights Movement and how it relates to our communities still today. Service experiences will include Habitat for Humanity, Vicksburg National Military Park, among more to be announced soon. This experience will take place January 1-8, with the total cost being $400, including lodging, food, transportation, and cultural activities.

Their mission is to provide students with affordable, meaningful, inclusive, reflective, and service-oriented experiences that broaden their familiarity with different social issues and parts of our nation.

Additionally, students can earn $50 off their ASB investment by "liking" and "sharing" the following Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/UNLservelearn/posts/1138679056186643?notif_t=like&notif_id=1479846117964345
