UNMC Undergraduate Public Health Workshop

This weeklong workshop is designed to immerse students into the multidisciplinary world of public health. Through interactive classroom experiences and field trips to rural and/or urban public health practice sites, students are offered the opportunity to interact with professionals in the field. As part of this workshop students also form into research teams, conduct literature reviews, and develop a scientific poster presentation with the guidance of UNMC, College of Public Health graduate student content advisors. Students have the option to register for one college credit hour through their undergraduate college for this course*.UNMC provides housing, most meals, classroom materials, and instruction and consultant speakers.

Application Process
Eligible students should complete and submit their application online by March 1st. Students will be asked to register their e-mail address before being able to proceed with completing the application. Although the application form should only take about 5 to 10 minutes to complete, it can be saved and resumed at a later time. Students will be asked to submit three required documents.

Brief explanation of what area of public health you are interested in and why (100 words or less).
Copy of most current unofficial transcript.
Registration for one credit hour is optional. Students must discuss with their program advisor if registration for credit is available. Cost per credit hour varies by undergraduate academic institution.
