VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: Life After High School

The Asian Community and Cultural Center is looking for volunteers for an after-school program at Lincoln High School. The program is called Life After High School, and it seeks to support refugee students through services like homework help and test prep, as well as help with filling out applications for jobs, colleges, and scholarships.

The volunteers are mentors and are encouraged to share their college experiences with students. Most importantly, volunteers get the chance to work one-on-one with members of Lincoln's diverse refugee youth population, learning about different cultures while gaining marketable job skills and meaningful interpersonal connections alike. It is truly a win-win.

The program meets Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays from 3-5. For more information and to apply contact Anna Poudel (anna@lincolnasiancenter.org), Youth Program Coordinator, Asian Community & Cultural Center, (913) 709-1808.
