Favorite book and why: ABSOLUTELY the Harry Potter books. They are the perfect combination of adventure, friendship, strength, and love.

Favorite movie and why: I’m going to go with Harry Potter here too. (Peep photo with the cave that hid one of the horcruxes, totally geeked out here!!!!)

Why Global Studies?
I came into my freshman year undeclared. I knew I liked learning about different cultures and travelling. I liked politics. I liked history. I liked reading and writing. I soon found the Global Studies program and it was the perfect fit for me. Global studies has the perfect amount of overlap with other departments at UNL and because of this, I have been able to explore all of my interests. My biggest piece of advice for new global studies majors is to become best friends with your degree audit - you would be so surprised how much you can get out of Global Studies and how the major and its intersections with other departments at UNL is like a puzzle. Make every class count!

Study Abroad Experience:
This summer, I studied abroad at Oxford University with the UNL College of Business. Most students think this program is strictly for business majors, but when I went I actually took an English course, in which we learned about Shakespeare, and an Economics course that was cross listed as Political Science and History. Learning economics in Great Britain with all of the current issues surrounding Brexit was fascinating. I am hoping to study abroad again this summer although I don't know where yet!

What are you post-graduation plans?
Currently I am studying for the LSAT, so I hope to go to law school post graduation! After that, I’m not sure what I would like to do. I’m thinking I’d like to work for the CIA or in some type of international or immigration law, but honestly my dream job would be a travel blogger.
