Below are this week's advising updates:

* Priority Enrollment will start on October 28th - your scheduled date and time in posted in MyRED. You can view the Spring 2020 class schedule now.

* I will be hosting an Advising Night on October 30th, 5:30-7:30 in Bailey Library of Andrews Hall.

* The last day to drop a course is November 15th.

* Our new Diplomat in Residence, Amanda Johnson sends a message about upcoming student programs and career opportunities.

Deadline November 19 - Critical Language Scholarships for Summer 2020 - For undergraduate and graduate students in good standing, an immersive 8-10 week intensive language study course abroad equivalent to one year of university study. https://clscholarship.org/applicants/eligibility.

Deadline February 2020 - Rangel Summer Enrichment Program for Summer 2020 - For sophomores, juniors, and seniors from historically underrepresented minority groups, women, or those with financial need with a 3.2 GPA or higher. Includes 6 credits in international affairs at Howard University including engagement with the international affairs community in Washington, D.C. to learn about and prepare for future careers. Deadline February 2020 - Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship - For rising juniors to finish undergraduate study or graduate study in IT fields with a 3.2 GPA or higher; includes two internships, mentoring, and scholarship with a 5-year work commitment.
