Favorite book and why: Sapphira and the Slave Girl by Willa Cather. It is a very unique plot with a lot of twists inspired by Cather's family autobiography as they help a slave escape.

Favorite movie and why: Parasite by Bong Joon-ho. This movie also contains a lot of plot twists and deep meanings about society that leave you thinking for a while.

Why Global Studies?
Global Studies is a great major since you literally learn about everything under the sun. It is a great major to be well-rounded on the topic of globalization on what is was in the past and how it works in today's time. I enjoy a lot of classes that dig into different cultures. I took a special topics course on Asian Art History and a course on Cultural Aspects on Food and Nutrition that was interesting. I am currently in a history course discussing the Holocaust that is also a personal interest of mine. I would suggest to go for special topic courses since they are not offered all the time and a great way to learn about something completely new and unique.

Study Abroad Experience: I did a summer study abroad in South Korea for 4 weeks at Hanyang University. I took beginning Korean as well as a Gender and Korean Society course. Besides being in Seoul most of time I was also given the opportunity to travel down to Busan which was amazing, I would highly recommend. I ate a lot of delicious foods and had an amazing time shopping before I lost my luggage.

Post-Graduation Plans: After graduation I am hoping to apply to a couple of fellowships, if not I would like to find a job and/or volunteer to gain experience and eventually apply to graduate school to pursue a degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education!
