We just learned that SNR students won two of the four student awards from the Midwest Fish and Wildlife conference that was in Des Moines in December 2011:

Best Fisheries Poster went to Jeremy Grauf for “Movement of Big River Fish in the Missouri and Platte Rivers.” Grauf, who did a UCARE project with Mark Pegg, graduated in May and will attend graduate school in Kearney.

Best Wildlife Paper went to Ryan Stutzman for “Stopover Decisions of Migratory Shorebirds: Are Agricultural Fields an Avian Gas-N-Go?” Stutzman, a graduate student, is advised by T.J. Fontaine.
