The Animal Science Department and the School of Natural Resources will again host a Companion Animal Science and Wildlife Career Day on UNL’s East Campus.
Due to the high popularity of the free event, space must be limited to the first 50 participants, so early registration is encouraged. The first day of sessions (Wednesday, Oct. 3) is already full, but there is still availability for the second and final date, Dec. 5.
The Career Day is aimed largely at high school students who will get the chance to meet with professionals and current UNL students in the animal science and wildlife fields. There will also be educational sessions about animal anatomy, physiology, reproduction and wildlife ecology. Sessions will be spread between the School of Natural Resources and the Animal Science Complex.
The first day of sessions will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3, and the second is slated for Wednesday, Dec. 5. Both days begin at 9 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m., and include a free lunch for all participants.
