The 2023 Water for Food Global Conference is seeking abstract submissions from graduate students for its poster competition.

The submission deadline is April 3 for the poster competition. The conference is slated for May 8-11 at Nebraska Innovation Campus. Posters for on-site competition must be displayed at Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center, beginning May 7, with winners announced May 9. The conference is a premier opportunity for students present their posters to hundreds of international scientists, scholars and decision-makers from academia, government, industry, private foundations and NGOs. In addition to visibility, graduate students can win up to $1,000 in cash prizes for the top posters.

The Water for Food Global Conference brings together experts from around the world to discuss advances in science, technology and policy to help address one of the most urgent challenges of the 21st century: how to achieve greater food security with less pressure on scarce water resources.

Posters and abstracts can be submitted under the following categories:

Climate change

Technology to improve productivity and protect agroecosystems

Water policy and management

Capacity development

People, animals and health

For University of Nebraska students, faculty and staff who would like to attend, a discounted conference registration rate of $150 is being offered.

A limited number of complimentary registrations are also available for students who are able to assist with conference logistics. Please contact Amber Poythress at apoythress@nebraska.edu for more information.
