Johnathan Kelly, an Environmental Restoration Sciences and Water Sciences double major, was name a Chancellor's Scholar for Spring 2023.
These students have earned an A in every undergraduate class. To be named a Chancellor's Scholar is the highest academic award the University offers. This distinction is shared by 93 student scholars who will graduate in May. The Chancellor’s Scholars will be listed in the May 2023 Commencement program. Each scholar will receive a Chancellor’s Scholar certificate with their diploma and a Chancellor’s Scholar pin to wear on the ribbon of their medallion. The scholars will be seated together at the ceremony and will receive their diplomas first. To further recognize these graduates, the campus community and their hometown newspapers will be informed of this great achievement.
Johnathan was part of the UNL Soil Judging Team that took 4th place at the national competition in 2023.
