The Office of Graduate Studies, the Office of Undergraduate Research and Fellowships, as well as the Office of Research and Economic Development held the 2024 Student Research Days Poster Sessions and Creative Exhibitions. The following SNR Students received awards:

Sophia Becker was awarded one of the 2023 Outstanding Student Presentations (Oral) from the American Geophysical Union. Her presentation was titled “Advancing Non-invasive, Passive Measurement of Root Zone Soil Water Content at the Subfield Scale Using Gamma-ray Spectroscopy”

Becky Schuerman was award the Shannon Moncure Scholarship for 2024. The scholarship is available to Natural Resource Sciences majors with a specialization in Human Dimension and have completed 9 graduate credit hours by the end of a calendar year.

Cordell Vrbka, fisheries and wildlife major, will be recognized as Chancellor’s Scholars during the undergraduate commencement ceremony May 18 at Memorial Stadium. Chancellor’s Scholars are students who have maintained 4.0 grade-point averages on all collegiate work at Nebraska and elsewhere.
