Nebraska Research Days will feature a Faculty Research and Creative Activity Slam at the Wick Alumni Center on Nov. 13, 4-6 p.m. Faculty from all disciplines are invited to submit short video proposals by Oct. 10 for an opportunity to present during the event.
The Slam offers faculty a platform to share their research, scholarship or creative endeavors through rapid-fire talks that are entertaining and easy to understand.
Faculty selected to present during the Slam will have five minutes to speak. A panel of judges from the Lincoln community will decide the winner. Attendees also will vote for their favorite presentation, with the top vote-getter receiving a special audience choice award.
Ryan Tan, assistant professor of sports media and communication, took first place last year.
Jocelyn Bosley, research impact coordinator, explains more in this video.
