The Nebraska GIS Symposium returns to Lincoln! This symposium offers a unique opportunity to assemble the many diverse users of GIS within the state of Nebraska. We hope to beat the expectations stemming from Symposium 2023 and ask that you help us provide a highly enriching experience for the Nebraska GIS user. Volunteer and make YOUR Symposium the best yet!

You are invited to participate as a speaker at the 2025 Nebraska GIS Symposium. The conference program will include 40+ sessions devoted to discussions of GIS applications and issues. Preliminary session topics include, but are not limited to: government applications, natural resources, agriculture, data and technology issues, private sector applications, education, social science applications, health, public safety, and homeland security. These 60 minute sessions will have one or two speakers with each presenter being allotted 30 or 60 minutes.

As part of the event, there is a Digital Project Showcase competition for students as an opportunity to share their work. If you are interested, please submit the abstract to Casey DunnGossin (also cc’ed), the State of Nebraska GIS Coordinator (Casey.DunnGossin@nebraska.gov ). Casey has been very supportive of our students and the GIS events at UNL.
