Why did you choose to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?
I wanted to stay close to home and there are so many incredible opportunities offered through CASNR.
What’s your favorite part of being a student at UNL or on East Campus?
I love the community aspect on East Campus. There is such a great support system for students and I’ve loved the hands-on learning experiences I’ve had. I also adore Hardin Hall--it has become a second home to me.
Have you had any internship or job experiences during college? If so, tell us about one and what you learned.
I worked at a nature summer camp as a counselor and am now directing the camp! I’ve learned the value of educating about nature and exposing kids to the outdoors at a young age. I got to foster a love and care for the environment and as director have learned a lot about effective communication and how to plan activities that are both fun and educational.
