HealthierU, the University Employee Wellness program, invites all employees to participate in the 2025 Employee Wellness and Community Resource Fair from 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at the Coliseum. This year’s fair is sponsored by the University of Nebraska Federal Credit Union and Active Life Family Chiropractic.
Employees can visit with over 40 campus and community wellness vendors to learn more about available resources. Employees are encouraged to visit the official event webpage. Employees who participate in the fair can win door prizes. This year, employees can earn an additional entry for a door prize by bringing pantry items to donate to the Husker Pantry.
Campus Recreation will be offering complimentary access for employees to the Campus Recreation Center on City Campus and the Recreation and Wellness Center on Oct. 20-21. The university community is invited to use either or both facilities by presenting their NCard at the member service desk upon arrival. Each center has free day use lockers to secure belongings and full shower facilities. Tours will be available. While the Outdoor Adventures Center is not included in the complimentary access during Fall Break, any interested employee is welcome to inquire about Climbing Center use and have a tour of the space.
In addition to general access to the facilities, employees are invited to register for group fitness classes and to check out the new EGYM equipment on city campus. Classes will be available at both locations. For full descriptions of each class, please visit the Group Fitness webpage on the Campus Recreation website.
Pre-registration is required for all classes. To register for classes, interested participants are instructed to create an Active Husker Account and then visit the date of the intended class on the calendar to locate the class.
For any questions regarding Group Fitness classes, please contact Hattie Roberts, Group Fitness Coordinator, at hroberts3@nebraska.edu.
