The Water Seminar Series continues on Wednesday, April 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the Hardin Hall first floor auditorium.

Dr. Lawrence Buja, the director of the Climate Science and Applications Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research, will discuss “Implications for Water, Food, and Energy from the Latest IPCC Climate Simulations.”

The Climate Science and Applications Program “addresses impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability to climate change by generating scenarios of projected climate change, developing tools and methods for analyzing current and future vulnerability, and conducting integrated analyses of climate change impacts and adaptation.”

This seminar is part of the Williams Memorial Lecture series, which honors the memory of the late Alan G. and Irene Williams, graduates of the University of Nebraska.

The Geography General Seminar Series continues on Friday, April. 1st at 2:00 p.m. in Hardin Hall 163.

This week’s seminar will feature Kathryn Pfaffle, a master’s student in geography in the School of Natural Resources. She will be speaking on the topic of “Using GIS to Identify Food Deserts.”
