In Outlook sometimes it is necessary to move whole folders where emails are stored. This can be done in two ways.

Drag and Drop
This method is useful when you need to move a folder and make it a subfolder in another folder/area.

1. Left click on the folder you wish to move.

2. Drag the folder to the new location and release the mouse button.
NOTE: The new location will be highlighted or have a heavy black line showing where the folder will be placed.

Move Folder Command
This method works when you need to move a folder and make it a subfolder in another folder/area and when you need to move a folder out of a subfolder, giving it more importance.

1. Click on the folder you wish to move.

2. On the “Folder” tab, click “Move Folder.”

3. In the “Move Folder” dialog box choose where you would like to move the folder and click “OK.”
NOTE 1: Click on the white triangles to expand lists of folders.
NOTE 2: If you need to have folder be in the primary level list of items for your email account choose your email address.
NOTE 3: You can create a new folder as a location by clicking “New.”
