The City of Lincoln will host the fifth biennial Waterfest from 5-8 p.m., June 7 at Holmes Lake Park. Those attending will learn about the planet's most valuable resource — water.
Exhibitors and volunteers will help the public learn about what they can do to reduce pollutants to local streams and lakes.
The event is expected to attract anywhere from 1500-3000 attendees, and many volunteers are needed.
Volunteers will help with setup/teardown, directing traffic, assisting people in and out of canoes, handing out prizes, trash/recycling and photographing the event.
Volunteers are needed from 3-9 p.m. If you have only two hour to spare, there is a spot for you. All volunteers will receive free food and a free T-shirt.
