NE Statewide Arboretum seeks nominations for grad student award

Since 1986 the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Inc. has recognized outstanding graduate student work in woody plant research through a Graduate Student Research Award.

Since 1986, the Nebraska Statewide Arboretum, Inc. has recognized outstanding graduate student work in woody plant research through a Graduate Student Research Award. This annual award of $1,200 is made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor.

The award is made available as a monthly stipend of $120 over a 10-month period, beginning with the start of the 2014/15 academic year in August.

Any graduate student (master's or Ph.D. candidate) at any Nebraska college or university is eligible to compete for the award. Applicants do not need to be on an assistantship, but they must be enrolled as a full-time student.

The deadline for submitting nominations is June 27.
