No bones about it, exploring pollinators and other invertebrates is fun stuff! Join Prairie Pines between 9:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the nature preserve at 3100 N. 112th St., Lincoln, to collect prairie insects and discover how cool they are.

With approximately 19,000 species of tiny but powerful insects in Nebraska you'll surely find a few.

Cultivando Outdoors Cultura – Cultivate Outdoors Culture returns with bilingual pollinator and insect activities. Carolyn Butler from the Nebraska Wildlife Federation will provide information about creating pollinator habitat at 11:30 a.m.

Prairie Pines Trails are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Coffee and smoothies will be available for purchase in Virginia’s Garden from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Children must be accompanied by adults. Sorry no pets.
