Keeping the SNR community engaged

Hello and happy New Year!

This past year, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of our move into Hardin Hall, and in 2017, we’ll be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the formation of the School of Natural Resources. We have some new and exciting events in the works such as a new speaker series, an SNR Alumni Homecoming Tailgate and maybe even SNR Movie Nights, designed to engage students and community members alike. Make sure you’re keeping in touch with us through social media on Facebook and Twitter or through our website so we can let you know all the awesome things to come.

We are proud of our students and alumni. I know that some of my former classmates (I’m a 2009 SNR graduate) have gone on to serve in the Peace Corp, to work for the National Parks Service or as biologists, or to receive masters or doctoral degrees. It is important to us to show our current students not only where they can go, but that they have the support of people that have been in their shoes. If you haven’t taken the Alumni Survey, please take a minute to fill it out here. It can help us show students they can go anywhere, just like you.

Of course, we also greatly appreciate the financial support provided to SNR through the NU Foundation. Please consider supporting the Natural Resources Development Fund or one of the others that is special to you. Visit the SNR Foundation website to discover all of the possible opportunities.

Hope to see you in 2017!
