End of the Year Message from the President
Dear UNL Staff Community,
As we approach the end of another year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible dedication and resilience you have shown. This year has brought both opportunities and challenges, and through it all, you have continued to make UNL a place where every person and every interaction truly matters.
Your contributions—whether seen in classrooms, offices, labs, or behind the scenes—are the foundation of our university’s success. You support students in achieving their dreams, advance research and creative activity, and strengthen our campus and Nebraska communities. That work does not go unnoticed, and it does not lose its value, even in times of uncertainty or change.
As your Staff Senate, we remain committed to advocating for you, listening to your concerns, and creating spaces for dialogue and collaboration. Our strength as a university lies in how we come together, and we will continue to build on that in the year ahead. In the upcoming year, we will continue to focus on initiatives designed to improve workplace culture, expand recognition for staff excellence, and ensure your voices are heard in meaningful ways.
For now, I hope you find time to rest, recharge and celebrate the season in whatever way brings you joy. To those working through the winter shutdown, please know how deeply we appreciate your efforts to keep the university running smoothly.
