Due to COVID-19 health and safety precautions, members of MNGT 411 again completed service projects remotely during the Spring 2021 semester. Below is a list of the nonprofits served and projects completed by the class.
-The HUB Central Access Point for Young Adults: facilitated enrichment meetings for young adults. Topics included resume/interview strategies and making lasagna.
-People's City Mission: addressed postcards for a neighborhood donation drive
-Lincoln Children's Museum: developed detailed activity plans for the museum to implement with families
-City Impact: created a video for the Gifts of Love program; searched for organization alumni to be included in the upcoming 25th anniversary; developed a marketing plan to connect with UNL student organizations in Fall 2021; created the design and budget for a donor wall within the organization
-Food Fort: designed a postcard mailing for Give to Lincoln Day, a major fundraising effort each year
-Child Advocacy Center: prepared a major mailing for donors; researched statistics on a series of topics identified by the CAC for use in publications and social media
-Lighthouse: developed an informational postcard containing contact information for local mental health resources; created a Google map of designated "safe places" in Lincoln
-Mourning Hope: compiled a database of grief centers providing support to adults, enabling MH staff to connect those inquiring about support groups to resources in their state
-Lincoln Literacy: conducted interviews with LL students about their experiences to use in promotional materials; called local businesses and wrote thank you notes to previous donors, each in preparation for this year's Give to Lincoln Day
