Rob Stein, Associate Professor of Practice in Finance, is in his second year as a Seacrest Teaching Fellow. Rob’s project was inspired by the notorious “slacker” found in many group projects.

To increase individual accountability, Rob adjusted the course design and emphasized individual assessments based on the content covered in the group projects. “I introduced individual assignments that cover content from the team-based case studies to add a graded incentive for students to engage in their team’s work. Analysis of the resulting performance data shows that students that work in teams outperform those that do not. Not just in team-based assignments, but in individual ones as well.”

Join Rob on Friday, February 3 at 9:30am in HLH 241 to hear more about his project. Invite and RSVP to follow.
