Register for Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference by Sept. 26

Nebraska EPSCoR will host its eighth annual Nebraska Research and Innovation Conference at the Embassy Suites, 1040 P St., on Oct. 9. The conference, which is free and open to the public, includes a Nanosciences Symposium with presentations from leading nanoscientists. The registration deadline is Sept. 26.

The symposium will also highlight state-of-the-art nanosciences research and engineering in Nebraska.

An afternoon workshop on Oct. 8 will cover professional development topics of interest to undergraduates, graduate students and post doctorates. Topics include how to create a persuasive curriculum vitae or resume; job interviewing skills; reflections on careers in industry and academia; and alternative careers in the sciences.

All students, post doctorates and faculty can present a poster in any science, technology, engineering and mathematics discipline. All poster presenters must register for the conference by Sept. 26.
