Human trafficking conference opens Oct. 11

UNL will host the fourth annual Interdisciplinary Conference on Human Trafficking Oct. 11-13. The conference features a keynote by the United Nations' Kristiina Kangaspunta, and a presentation by James Kofi Annan, a former slave forced at age 6 to work in a Ghana fishing village for 17 hours a day. University Singers to perform tonight

The University Singers will perform at 7:30 p.m. today in Kimball Recital Hall. Tickets, available at the door one hour prior to the performance, are $5 general admission and $3 for students (with valid identification) and senior citizens.
