The University Program Council presents “What Makes a Family?” with Zach Wahls at 7:30 p.m. March 28 in the Nebraska Union Auditorium. Admission is free for UNL students (with a valid NCard) and $5 for all others.
Wahls is best known for the viral YouTube video, “Zach Wahls Speaks about Family,” (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yMLZO-sObzQ) in which he spoke at a public forum on House Joint Resolution 6, an amendment intended to ban gay marriage, in front of the Iowa House of Representatives.
Because of the video, Wahls has become a nationally recognized advocate for LGBT equality.
