Smoking cessation group to start meeting March 31

The Employee Assistance Program is offering a six-session smoking cessation support group starting at noon, March 31.

The group will provide participants with printed material and educational information about nicotine addiction. Participants will learn their specific triggers for why they smoke and practice coping strategies for stress. Areas of discussion may include various strategies for quitting, medications for withdrawal symptoms, and ideas for lifestyle changes to improve your chances for success.

The group also offers a supportive atmosphere, accountability, and the personal experience of other participants in the group.
