A documentary featuring Phil Ochs' turbulent folk music career will play the Mary Riepma Ross Media Arts Center March 25-31.

Directed by Kenneth Bowser, "Phil Ochs: There But For Fortune" includes interview and performance footage of Ochs. The film also features interviews with Joan Baez, Tom Hayden, Pete Seeger, Sean Penn, Peter Yarrow, Christopher Hitchens and Ed Sanders.

Ochs' career spanned two decades, from the 1960s to the 1970s. He sought the bright lights of fame and social justice in equal measure - a contradiction that led to suicide. From youthful idealism to rage to pessimism, the arch of Ochs' life paralleled that of the Vietnam War era.
