Hanson receives two national honors

Ron Hanson, professor of agricultural economics, was twice honored recently with national teaching awards. The awards were presented by the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association, and the North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture.

Hanson received the 2013 AAEA Senior Distinguished Undergraduate Teaching Award from the Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. The award was presented during the AAEA and Canadian Agricultural Economics Society annual meetings, Aug. 4-6. in Washington, D.C. He previously received the junior level AAEA teaching award earlier in his career.

Hanson also received the 2013 NACTA Distinguished Educator Award during the group's annual conference, June 25-29 at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.

The award is the highest national teaching education recognition given by the NACTA.
