Schedule set for search committee training

Equity, Access and Diversity Programs has scheduled search process orientation seminars for the fall semester. The first seminar is 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 10 in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. Individuals who complete the seminar receive a three-year certification to serve on search committees.

Each orientation seminar is 90 minutes and covers the basics of conducting a job search. The seminars are free and open to any faculty, staff, graduate assistants and teaching assistants. Registration, available at http://training.unl.edu, is required.

Other orientation seminars in the fall semester are: Sept. 20, Oct. 8, Oct. 21, Nov. 7, Nov. 22, Dec. 4 and Dec. 17.

Individuals who have completed the orientation and are within the three-years certification period can take an update seminar. The update seminars are offered online through a new pilot program.
