NU Central Administration seeks feedback on business applications

NU Central Administration is seeking faculty and staff feedback on universitywide business applications like Firefly and Sapphire.

From today through Oct. 29, UNL employees can log in to Firefly accounts at https://firefly.nebraska.edu and complete a 10-minute (or less) survey about the business applications. Feedback from the survey will be used to gauge enhancement needs for Firefly, Employee Self Service (ESS), Manager Self Service (MyStaff), SAP and Sapphire.

"This is an opportunity for everyone to have their likes or dislikes about these applications heard by Central Administration," said Beth Benson, information coordinator for Financial Services. "The survey is completely confidential."

After logging in to Firefly, users are forwarded to a separate application that does not record name or registration information. Also, after the survey is complete, users can register to enter a drawing to win one of two iPod Nanos. The registration process for the drawing is also completed through a separate application, which does not link names to survey results.

The survey is conducted every two years. Past surveys have led to improvements including: deployment of a new SAP budget application; reimbursement process for non-travel related expenses; ability to approve leave and travel requests via a Blackberry device; and enhanced Firefly content for employees and managers.
Suggestions can also be submitted at any time to Business and Finance or through feedback forums in Firefly or Sapphire.
