Each semester, students have the opportunity to apply and be accepted to join the team at Jacht.Though Jacht is a course through the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, students from any college within the University of Nebraska-Lincoln are encouraged to apply. As a recruitment event, Jacht will host an open house to prospective students and clients on February 12, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
“One of the most interesting things about Jacht is that we try and incorporate a variety of students,” Alan Eno, Director of Multimedia at Jacht and Assistant Professor of Practice at the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, said. “The more diversity we can have in terms of education and culture, the more successful Jacht can be, so we try and recruit from everywhere on campus.”
With 13 clients this spring, Jacht is working on expanding their reach and fostering the relationships of current connections. In hopes to continue growing the agency, they invite all students, local agencies and small businesses to the event. The open house will take place at their space, located at 151 N 8th St, Lincoln, NE 68508.
