Develop your ability to analyze complex data sets while learning to program in R. Designed for all majors, this course will introduce you to commonly used tools for data analysis and statistical computing and demonstrate how they can be applied in business. As organizations of all types leverage data to enhance performance and provide competitive advantage, the use of computing tools and statistical analysis to support decision-making has seen rapid growth. As a result, there is increasing demand for individuals with training in both computing and statistics. The skills you’ll learn in SCMA 450 are applicable in almost every industry, giving you an edge in today’s competitive job market. Open to all UNL students, the course is offered Monday and Wednesday from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. this fall. The course counts as an elective for the business analytics minor. SCMA 350 is a prerequisite
