CoJMC: The Experience Lab

The Experience Lab allows students to explore their industry of interest by communicating and working with real clients, sources, stories and content within the community. By leveraging this real-world setting and experience, students will develop their skills in content production, social and digital media, and emerging technologies.

Students must complete the student application by Oct. 29. All UNL majors are welcome to apply, and no prior experience is necessary for the Experience Lab. Upon acceptance, students will be assigned an enrollment code into the program. Meeting dates and times will vary in the spring 2022 semester, but EL members should expect to commit approximately five hours per week.

• Students will earn 1 credit, PNP
• All students will be required to register for JOMC 191, which will be on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:15 p.m.
• 4-6 hours/week
• Day-to-day projects will vary depending on Experience Lab program
• An additional 3 hours per week will be required outside of the required Tuesday meeting time
