Nebraska Bureau of Business Research is hosting a special guest speaker on November 13, between 4 – 5 p.m. in HLH 231 as part of the BBR Seminar Series. This presentation is an update and expansion of the presentation to the Omaha City Council on December 6, 2022.
The presentation is entitled “A Transit Expert Who Grew Up in Omaha Looks at the Proposed Omaha Streetcar.” Our speaker, Thomas A. Rubin, CPA, CMA, CMC, CIA, CGFM, CFM has over four decades of experience in government surface transportation and finance, concentrating on public transit. As a consultant and auditor, he has served well over one hundred transit agencies, metropolitan planning organizations, state departments of transportation, the U.S. Department of Transportation, suppliers to the transit industry, and not-for-profits. He has authored numerous research papers for Reason Foundation, Heritage, and the Texas Public Policy Foundations, among other entities.
