Are you enrolled for Spring?

Archived Story: This article is part of our newsletter archives. It has been preserved for reference, but the information may no longer be current.

The spring semester is around the corner and there are a couple of things you need to check on before classes begin.

*Are you enrolled for Spring?
Check MyRed (again) to verify that you are enrolled for classes on the Enrollment tab. Classes left in your shopping cart do not reserve a seat in a course.

*2.5 GPA Requirement
A minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average is expected during the course of the student's career in the College. A 2.5 GPA is required for many business classes.

*Did you raise your cumulative GPA to a 2.5 after this semester?
Congratulations! You may have gained eligibility for additional course options for spring. Please contact an academic advisor or email businessundergrad@unl.edu to discuss your course options.

*What to do if your cumulative GPA drops below 2.5:
First, review the prerequisites for each of your spring classes. If you are enrolled in a course that requires a 2.5 GPA, contact an academic advisor or email businessundergrad@unl.edu for assistance with schedule adjustments. As a reminder, the College of Business departments review class rosters in early January and will drop students who have not met the GPA requirement.

*Do you have new transfer credit?
If you just completed a course at another institution, such as SCC, and need a permission code, complete the “Request for Prerequisite Override to Enroll in a Business Course” as soon as possible.
