The Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship is excited to announce a new two-week study abroad program in Mexico City, offering you the opportunity to experience business and culture in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

During the program, you will collaborate with local small businesses, working in teams to generate ideas that help their partners grow, adapt, and reach new audiences. The experience will also include visits to Conagra headquarters, a local entrepreneurship accelerator, and several of Mexico City’s most culturally and historically significant landmarks.

Led by Dr. Sam Nelson, director of the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship, and Mallory Krenk, student engagement and recruitment coordinator for the center, this immersive program blends business, culture, and creativity to deliver a high-impact learning opportunity.

“This program is designed to give students a firsthand look at how entrepreneurship and business thrive in different environments,” said Dr. Nelson. “By engaging with both multinational corporations and local entrepreneurs, students will gain valuable insights that can’t be replicated in the classroom.”

Participants will earn 3 credit hours while strengthening skills in problem-solving, leadership, and cross-cultural communication. By the end of the program, students will return with a deeper understanding of international business and the confidence to apply their learning in future academic, professional, and entrepreneurial pursuits.
