As part of a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is celebrating International Education Week, November 13-17. All around campus, events are taking place highlighting international education including events hosted by the college. In the College of Business alone, our students come from 57 countries. To honor our students and recognize the diversity in our college, we will kick off the week with a Parade of Nations on Monday, November 13 at 9:20 a.m., where flags of these countries will be carried by flag bearers to be placed in the atrium for the week. All are welcome to join in this activity (meet at Welcome Desk at 9:10 a.m.) as well as the other programs listed below.
International Education Photo Contest - Monday-Thursday
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is the academic home to students and scholars from over 130 different countries. Show us how YOU experience the world here at Nebraska. Submit your photo at: business.unl.edu/iewphoto by Thursday, November 16. Submissions will be posted to the College of Business Facebook album where you and your friends can vote for the best picture on Friday, November 17. The photo with the most “likes” will win a Prize Pack!

Anyone can be a flag bearer -- be at the Welcome Desk on the first floor at 9:10 a.m. The procession will begin promptly at 9:20 a.m. and go through the first floor and up the stairs to the second floor atrium. The procession should conclude by 9:30 a.m.

Chinese Name Pronunciation Workshop – CoB 231

See if you can master the ultimate Chopsticks Challenge and win a prize! Authentic customized calligraphy will also be available in Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and Indonesian.

Passport Photo Booth – CoB North Lobby on the First Floor
The College of Business is hosting the UNL Passport Office for a Passport Photo and Information Booth. Students are welcome to come by and begin the application process for a U.S. Passport, including taking a passport (or visa) photo - free for College of Business students.

International Business Medallion Program Information Booth – CoB North Lobby on the First Floor
Students are welcome to come find out how they can maximize their experience in the College of Business through the International Business Medallion Program (IBMP). The IBMP is designed for students who wish to enhance their international education outside the classroom by engaging in career building, global citizenship and well-being focus areas.
