· 10 student awards - Nominations are open now and this spring we’ll recognize eight undergraduate and two graduate student recipients. Each recipient will receive a $1,000 monetary award.
· Streamlined nomination process - Students will not submit the materials themselves. In a process more similar to other university top-honors, the nominators will be tasked with coordinating the submission.
· Enhancing the nominee pool - New criteria for the awards will help student recipients reflect the diversity and breadth of Husker experiences that our campus offers.
· Earlier timeline - Nomination packets are due January 18. Student recipients will be honored at a reception on March 8, 2019 as part of the university’s sesquicentennial events.
