1. Create a personal environment for learning. Find a place in your room or house to focus on your studies. Place all your academic belongings here and allow this space to become one of learning.
2. Pay attention in class! This one is a no-brainer, but it is very important to remain engaged through your in-person or Zoom classes. Through learning in the classroom, you will not have to cram for information later. Take notes, be present in the discussions, and be engaged!
3. Ask for help. Approach your teacher or a peer if you need help with something. Remember, your teachers are there to help! As a reminder, tutoring is always a helpful resource to UB students!
4. Practice good time management! Think of your weekly responsibilities and your classes' workload. Begin to organize your own schedule according to how much time you must dedicate to each class-- make sure to reflect on your class standing and where you should dedicate more time. A planner always helps during this process!
5. Make study groups. As finals near and teachers begin providing review material, consider finding a partner or two to work with leading up to the exam. Having a friend you can ask questions and teach in return is a great form of learning.
6. Relax! This is an important factor in successful student life. Make sure to step back from your academic responsibilities and destress with yourself, friends, or family.
