The Nebraska College of Business Career Center and Clifton Strengths Institute’s Career Accelerator is an immersive and flexible program designed for students to advance their career development and gain targeted skills and experience. Students who complete the program will have an edge over their competition in their future internship or job search process. The program takes place over summer break.
The Career Accelerator Program application is due May 14 at 12 p.m. CST. Applicants are selected based on:
-Committing fully to the program and following the timeline, which requires a minimum of 30 hours of work (4-6 hours weekly) over the course of 8 weeks.
-Ability to take initiative, embrace ambiguity and plan and mange time effectively.
The accelerator is designed for students to build their own experience by establishing an action plan which focuses on key skills related to professional and career development. Selected participants will each receive individualized coaching, have choice in designing their tasks, and be a team member leveraging their strengths in an engaging presentation about a workplace topic.
The program strives to find students who in which are a good match and want to grow professionally. No experience is necessary, though, commitment is required and expected throughout the duration of the program.
